OUR SERVICES
Account Services
Accounts preparation forms the backbone of the accounts services that we provide to our clients, be they sole traders, partnerships, construction industry or limited companies.
Despite the introduction of comprehensive and inexpensive bookkeeping and accountancy software packages, for these to provide accurate & useful information, the assistance of an accountant is still often required.
Punctual completion of reliable and relevant accounts will provide you with a true picture of the financial position of your business, and can also provide valuable information for decision making.
We actively manage the timing of the accounts production process to ensure that you meet your statutory responsibilities and through this information, take advantage of early tax planning opportunities.
We can work direct from your records, or liaise with your in-house accounts staff, to ensure that accurate figures are prepared and suggest improvements to your systems where necessary.
Although the preparation of the statements will be mostly a compliance exercise, we will undertake a review of your expenses to ensure the maximum amount of relief is being claimed.
Payroll
As anyone in business will know, ensuring your staff are paid correctly and on-time is essential. We can provide a full payroll calculation service to help you achieve this, and in addition can provide advice on the statutory rights of your employees.
We can deal with all paperwork relating to new employees, leavers and students, as well as calculations of sick pay, maternity pay and holiday entitlements.
We will provide payslips for your employees, together with a pay-run summary for your records. We will also advise on the PAYE payment required to be made to the HMRC on a monthly or quarterly basis.
If your staff are provided with benefits or expenses, we can prepare and submit the P11D(b) Return and P11D forms on your behalf, including calculation of the Class 1a liability due.
Taxation
We offer a full range of business tax services to ensure that you not only meet your obligations under the UK tax system, but also make full use of the relief’s available.
Tax Returns
Whether you operate as a sole trader, a partnership, an LLP or a Limited Company, you will need help with your annual tax returns and computations. Under the self-assessment system, it is the taxpayers responsibility to complete and submit a correct return. With our vast experience in completing these returns, we will ensure that you meet this obligation.
We will also provide you with helpful reminders when payment and return deadlines are looming, to ensure you are not charged any unnecessary interest or penalties.
Throughout the year, we will review any HMRC calculations or statements of account to ensure that you only pay the correct amount of tax.
Tax Mitigation
Tax planning has to be pro-active to be effective, and therefore a regular review of your overall corporation tax, income tax, national insurance and capital gains tax affairs should be undertaken so that areas where savings can be made are highlighted.
If you are about to undertake transactions which might affect your tax position, our advice can often be helpful to ensure you understand the implications.
We can also advise on the best structure for you business, and produce a report showing the tax implications of incorporating your business.
Management
As your business grows, the need for up to date accounts information increases. We can provide an accounts management service to help, whether monthly for management purposes, or quarterly for your suppliers or bank.
We can assist with budgets and cash-flow projections, which are often required to obtain and sustain finance arrangements.
We can also prepare your VAT returns, whether on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis. This service will also offer a review of your day-to-day bookkeeping entries, which should assist considerably when it comes to preparing your end of year financial statements.
